# One-click apps

A one-click app is a ready app that dudbox sets up for you. You do not write code or pick settings.

## Add one

1. In the dashboard, click **New**, then **One-click app**.
2. Pick the app. dudbox starts it and gives it an address.
3. When it is live, open the address.

The apps you can add now:

<!-- apps -->

Agents and scripts get the same list from the API: `GET /api/v1/templates`. See [Services](/docs/api/services.md).

## Apps that come with more

Some apps need a database or a helper next to them. dudbox makes those too, in the same click: Umami gets its own Postgres (`umami-db`), Libredesk a Postgres and a Redis, and opendesk a Postgres and its live updates (`opendesk-realtime`, at `/socket` on opendesk's address). The app starts once its database is ready.

On the dashboard they sit together, under the app's name. Each one is a service of its own, with its own page, logs and backups. Deleting the app does not delete them: delete each one on its **Settings** tab.

## The admin login

Some apps need an admin account before you can use them. dudbox makes it for you, with a long random password, before the app's address opens, so nobody else can take it first. The app's **Env** tab names the env vars that hold the user and the password. Click **Show** on one to see it, or the copy button to copy it. You can change the password in the app later.

opendesk's owner account uses the email you log in to dudbox with, so its password resets and notifications reach you (opendesk cannot change an account's email later). opendesk then closes sign-ups (it deploys once more for that, a few seconds after its first deploy): invite your team from opendesk. To open sign-ups again, set `SIGNUP_ENABLED` to `true` on the **Env** tab and redeploy.

## Your data

An app that keeps data (like Uptime Kuma's monitors) has a saved folder. It stays when the app restarts or you deploy again, and dudbox backs it up every night, encrypted.

## Updates

**Redeploy** on the app's Deployments tab fetches the app's image again, with the newest fixes of its version, and starts it. Your data stays.
